About us Extract and prepare case sheets from the filing system for allocated clinics, cancellations, research and audit purposes. Receive and book in patients on arrival in Out-patients/Primary care. Make appointments as requested. Liaise with medical staff re overbooked clinics. Deal with telephone and postal enquiries. Ensure clinic booking summaries and clinic proformas are completed timely and accurately. Open, sort and re-direct mail. Enter referral letters onto the Hospital Information Support System and book new appointments as required Make up and file new case notes. Cancel and re-book clinic appointments according to given instructions. Liaise with Clerical Team Co-ordinator re missing case notes. Maintain and enhance an efficient and helpful attitude whilst undertaking the above duties. Ensure all Out-patient discharges are recorded timely and accurately. Ensure that attendances, DNAs and discharges are recorded accurately and timely. Deal with DNA follow up appointments. Cover/rotation for other Clerical Officers will be required. To undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade as delegated by the Clerical & Administration Manager/Clerical Supervisor. "}
