St Paul's Eye UnitThe role will involve all aspects of administration work within the unit, call centre, reception work, registering of referrals, booking appointments, and preparation of relevant paperwork.

Extract and prepare case sheets from the filing system for allocated clinics, cancellations, research and audit purposes.
Receive and book in patients on arrival in Out-patients/Primary care.
Make appointments as requested. Liaise with medical staff re overbooked clinics.
Deal with telephone and postal enquiries.
Ensure clinic booking summaries and clinic proformas are completed timely and accurately.
Open, sort and re-direct mail.
Enter referral letters onto the Hospital Information Support System and book new appointments as required
Make up and file new case notes.
Cancel and re-book clinic appointments according to given instructions.
Liaise with Clerical Team Co-ordinator re missing case notes.
Maintain and enhance an efficient and helpful attitude whilst undertaking the above duties.
