The post holder will be part of the well-established Community Midwives teams. To deliver care in the Community setting- home visits, Children's Centres Occasionally running clinics in the hospital setting. To be on-call as the second midwife at homebirths. The Midwife is responsible and accountable for their own midwifery practice. Plan and deliver evidence-based midwifery care in partnership with the birthing person in the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal period, ensuring liaison with all relevant agencies and escalation to members of the multi-disciplinary team as required. To provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care, reporting any deviations from the normal to a more senior member of the team. Practice within the parameters of both local and national guidance always ensuring compliance with the specific standards set.
