An exciting opportunity has arisen for a ward clerk to join our team on Gate 41. Gate 41 is a 44-bedded acute elderly care assessment unit based at Pinderfields Hospital. The role is an administrative post that will support the team to access the appropriate information on the Trust's IT systems and ensure that all patient information is kept up to date and remains confidential. The ward clerks are also responsible for ensuring admission documentation is prepared, ready for the patients when they arrive. The role also entails general administration responsibilities as well as answering the phone and speaking with patient relatives and other healthcare professionals and providers regarding patients on the unit. You will be an integral member of the ward, providing effective day-to-day clerical support to facilitate the smooth running of ward and patient flow. This post is to cover a 24 hour service, working over 3 long shifts each week and therefore includes working a mixture of days nights and weekends.
