This is a Postgraduate Training Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at Liverpool Dental Hospital & University Hospital Aintree. This post is full time for a 12 or 24 month period. The post is that of Tier 5 Clinical Fellow in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics (1.0 WTE). The program includes observation and hands-on clinical treatment in a variety of settings with Professor Butterworth at both Aintree Hospital and the Liverpool University Dental Hospital. This program provides mainly clinical experience and chairside teaching in maxillofacial prosthodontics. Candidates will be exposed to a very wide range of clinical situations and treatments within this clinical area. The level of experience achieved will very much depend on the starting point of the candidate and their previous experience. The fellow will usually be based at the Liverpool University Dental Hospital for 6-7 sessions per week, with additional experience in the operating theatres and outpatient clinics in the Maxillofacial Surgery department at University Hospital Aintree as per the indicative timetable at Appendix 2.
