Ensure a robust planned preventative and corrective maintenance system is in place to ensure the efficient operation, compliance and integrity of the Estate Maintain up to date asset registers, PPM records and other applicable records Ensure the standards found in Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs) and other applicable documents are understood and followed wherever possible Contribute to the creation of and implement departmental procedures and policies Manage the devolved Maintenance budget delivering best value / quality Liaise and communicate with the Capital developments department on all aspects of projects that have a site estates department impact. Ensure site Safe Systems of work are in place, with adequate APs and CPs to manage the systems and all required records are maintained in accordance with the relevant standards About us Post Title: Estates Officer Pay Band: Agenda for Change Hours: Full Time (37.5 Hours per week) Location: Working principally at Kidderminster General Hospital and Treatment Centre or at Alexandra Hospital Redditch, though may need to work occaisionally at either, including Worcestershire Royal Hospital or satellite facilities in line with ant operational requirement. Accountable to: Head of Esatets & Technical Services Key Working Relationships Internal: Departmental Managers and Supervisors (clinical and non-clinical) across the Trust All levels of Clinical Staff Infection Control leads Clinical Directors/Consultants Nursing leads Supplies and Procurement Capital Project Managers Health and Safety Advisor External: Account managers within strategic suppliers Operational managers within Retained Estate Other NHS organisations Legislative and regulatory authorities Project managers Sustainability, energy, engineering consultants Statutory Bodies and Agencies Risk Assessment Frequent working under pressure, tight deadlines and budgets. Use of Computers and VDUs. Regular exposure to difficult situations and mentally challenging events. Regular physical activity and driving in all weather and conditions. On call and 1st response to potentially hazardous situations such as steam leaks or switching High Voltage equipment Job Purpose: The job holder is responsible for all aspects of Building Services maintenance. The job holder would be expected to take on Authorised Person duties within the Trust and would be expected to become qualified and appointed in the following Authorised Person (AP) disciplines; Medical gases pipeline systems (MGPS) AP, HV/LV AP and Ventilation systems AP.
