The post holder will be based on the wards, experience a wide range of experiences and undertake on calls in a 1:7 basis. They will be required to work with other grades of staff, and help out with ward rounds, admitting patients and clinics. Clerk and post take administration; writing in patients notes. Undertake patient reviews. Patient assessment, Drug prescription, Discharge administration. Promptly update patient systems. Attend clinics. Attend Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings. Triage to medical teams/acute physicians as appropriate. Trouble shoot patients on the ward. Participate in ward rounds Take part in the Haematology on-call shift system.
