About us The Adult and Autism team are looking for an Adult Support Coordinatorwho will promotechoice, control and independence, ensuring at all times that the service user is at the centre of this process. The team are responsible for working with adults with Autism and those who may have eligible care and support needs for other reasons, often associated with a neurodiversity. Our aim is to work progressively with individuals, recognising and building on their talents and abilities, whilst also providing tailored support to eligible needs under the Care Act. No two days are ever the same in the Adults and Autism Team, working with a wide range of individuals and situations. The work can be challenging and demanding but is ultimately rewarding, working to support individuals to develop their life chances. Adult support co-ordinators play a major part of the work we do in theAdult and Autism Team. Youll be working with adults to explore their need for care and support services, along with their informal carers. You will also work with younger people as they approach adult services. It will be crucial that you work in partnership with them in order to establish needs and ensure theyre met, drawing on wider community resources, their own strengths and abilities and funded support About you You wont need to have a social work qualification but knowledge, experience and understanding of the needs of adults with support needs will be essential to succeed in the role. Working knowledge and experience of working with those with Autism and or other neurodivergence, the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Cambridgeshire County Council's Adult Social Care policies and procedures will also be an advantage, particularly around wellbeing and outcomes.
