The post holder will provide a highly effective and supportive role to the Head of Corporate Governance and Board Secretary/Director of Corporate Governance in their leadership role to drive quality improvement and continued improvement, in compliance with statutory and mandatory requirements. The Headquarters facility offers agile flexible working, therefore the postholder will work remotely at home, with the requirement to come into HQ for team meetings and Board/executive meetings. The Senior Corporate Governance manager is a key member of the Corporate Governance Team. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Governance, the post holder will work closely with the Board, executive directors and various stakeholders. They will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of corporate governance across SBU health board. The Senior Corporate Governance manager will support a portfolio of borad committees and management groups and will deputise for the Head of Corporate Governance as a required. This will involve the provision of outstanding secretariat support, including advising chairs, drafting reports from committees to the Board and ensuring committees are properly constituted. Produce reports intended for consideration by Board Members, policy documents and business plans, summarising the status on issues, appraising outcomes Manage the department proactively by working closely with colleagues to ensure that risk, corporate services business continuity and governance is embedded across the organisation. Line manage the corporate governance team effectively Authorised signatory and responsible for the purchase of all appropriate non-stock orders The development of comprehensive and cohesive plans for the annual cycles of governance for the Corporate Governance Team Project Management skills including- initiate live-streaming for Health Board meetings via Teams to ensure the Board communicates effectively and also support in preparation of the HB's annual report and AGM.
