Working across the Plymouth area, you will demonstrate a good knowledge of working in building services, have experience of working with electrical and mechanical tools, possess a flexible approach to work and will have completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship. You will also be required to work on your own after having gained experience of the sites. Good communication skills and a willingness to undertake training are required. You must be numerate and literate, have computer knowledge with good written skills. You must be able to work overtime at short notice, if required, and have the ability to travel across Plymouth. This role involves participating in an on-call rota. To undertake maintenance and installation work for mechanical and electrical services and equipment. The post holder will be required to carry out routine maintenance and repair of a range of electro-mechanical equipment within Livewell Southwest hospitals, health centres, clinics and administration buildings including Decontamination equipment, air conditioning/refrigeration systems, heating systems, plumbing, building management systems, motors, engineering plant, equipment and processes. The Post-holder will also be required to become qualified and then carry out duties as an Authorised Person (AP) for electrical works in accordance with published HTM and once assessed as competent by Line Management. To serve as part of the maintenance team to deliver high quality care through effective and efficient operation and maintenance of all healthcare building services and work as a member of the out-of-hours Duty Engineer roster as directed by Line Management. To comply with all relevant Health, Safety and Statutory legislation and seek to apply best working practice at all times. About us Undertake tasks appropriate to the Maintenance Technician role as delegated by line management or helpdesk. When assessed as competent by Line Management, to undertake tasks and duties outside core working hours as an on-call Duty Engineer, in accordance with published rosters and as directed by Line Management.
