Our equipment refresh programme is completed with two Varian Halcyon linacs & 3 Truebeam linacs with RGSC, 6DoF couches and one with Hyperarc. Pre-treatment has 2 GoSim CT scanners with auto-contouring software . Our Satellite Unit in Swindon houses 2 Truebeam linacs with 6DoF couches and a GoSim CT scanner & our nest satellite centre in Milton Keynes houses 1 Truebeam linac with 6DoF couch & IDENTIFY and a GoSim CT scanner Patients are at the heart of what we do, and we are looking for Therapeutic Radiographers who can deliver excellent care with compassion and respect. As a department we are proud of our strong culture of learning, education and support and offer a comprehensive induction programme. Our Practice Educator team can assist with professional development opportunities, and we strongly encourage all Radiographers to get involved in project, audit and research work. There is access to CPD funding for both academic modules and conferences. To be primarily responsible for leading and co-ordinating the day-to-day clinical operations of the linac in accordance with the policies of the department and trust. Manage a caseload of patients, ensuring patients have accurate and consistent planning and treatment Liaising with the multidisciplinary team. Support and train members of the team to maintain and develop professional and personal skills and standards Assist the Pre-Treatment and Treatment Lead Radiographers and Radiotherapy Satellite Operational Manager in the implementation of change within the radiotherapy service. Provide expert advice on treatment procedures and treatment related side effects and their management to patients and their carers. To liaise with other disciplines to ensure total coverage in all aspects of patient care.
