The role of the Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) team leader will involve delivering coordination and supervision of PWP's within the NHS Gloucestershire Talking Therapy (IAPT) service North Team, providing caseload and clinical skills supervision to trainee and qualified PWP's. The role will be multi-faceted and will involve consultation, education, training and supervision as well as carrying a reduced clinical caseload. You will be required to contribute to the smooth running of all aspects of the service where the PWP role has an influence, ensuring that assessments and ongoing treatment are delivered at a high-quality level and consistent with operational standards. Potential candidates will hold a Post Graduate Certificate (PG Cert) for Improving Access to Psychological Therapies for a minimum of 2 years, and will have had previous experience of working with individuals experiencing mental health difficulties within Primary Care Services. You must be prepared to undertake further training in delivering supervision if you do not hold this qualification. This post requires a high level of communication skills, including effective liaison with key staff both within service and the wider organisation and NHS. The post holder must be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure within a new role in a developing service.
