The Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust wishes to update the Bank of Interpreters with a variety of languages to provide a comprehensive interpreting service to its hospitals in Oldham, Rochdale, Bury & Salford. The service will operate daily, out of hours, weekends and bank holidays as required. Full daytime availability is compulsory in order to be shortlisted. All languages are required including the following: Albanian Tigrinya Korean Vietnamese Kurdish Somali Amharic Nepalese Romanian Oromo Bambara Wolof Benin Edo Yoruba Burmese Bravanese/Brava Zaghawa Luganda Tagalog/Filipino Twi Shona Telugu Thai Fula Chichewa You will be responsible for providing a confidential, efficient and effective interpreting service to health professionals and patients in both the hospital and community settings on a sessional basis (as and when required) according to the specified time either daytime or out of hours and weekends. You must be available for induction training and orientation days. Possession of an interpreting qualification is essential and experience of interpretation preferably in a hospital setting. As well as face to face, interpretations are also conducted via telephone and video so knowledge of IT systems is also essential e.g. MS Teams & Accurx flemming.
