What to expect
First, we'll enable your camera & microphone and then ask you to record a short introduction about yourself, about 30 seconds long, to make sure your camera is working ok.

Then, we'll ask you to answer one or more questions of your choice from the list below:
1. Can you describe your previous experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in relation to handling blood and body fluids?
2. What training or experience do you have in compliance with UKAS, HSE, or HTA standards?
3. Have you worked with laboratory information systems before? If so, can you elaborate on your experience with data entry and maintaining patient sample identity?
4. How do you ensure accuracy and compliance when handling and labelling specimens? Could you provide an example of a time when you identified a discrepancy?
5. Can you discuss your experience with cleaning laboratory surfaces and equipment? Why is this important in a medical laboratory?
6. What is your understanding of the processes involved in cutting up and preparing specimens for medical dissection?
7. How familiar are you with maintaining and preparing solutions, reagents, and stains in accordance with departmental SOPs?
8. Describe your experience with digital photography of specimens and data management in systems like Vantage and Telepath.
9. What steps do you take to ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies in your work? Can you provide an example of a situation where you reported a risk or incident?
10. How do you ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste, including sensitive materials?
11. Can you discuss a situation where you assisted in the training or onboarding of new team members? What approach did you take?
12. How do you collaborate with biomedical scientists and researchers to support their work effectively?
13. What strategies do you use to keep records up to date and ensure compliance with laboratory standards?
14. How do you handle confidential patient information, and what measures do you take to ensure it remains secure?
15. Can you share an example of a continuing professional development (CPD) activity you have participated in? How do you ensure that you stay current with best practices in the laboratory field?
16. What areas of laboratory work are you most passionate about, and how do you see your career developing in the future?
17. What attracted you to this position with Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust?
