We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and flexible individual to provide high quality and compassionate care for our Patients and their families. You will be required to work within a clinical setting and support the Ward manager in the general management of the unit including management of staff and the supervision and development of Students. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be committed to delivering a high standard of care and be prepared to take on the challenge of supporting the ongoing development of the unit, as well as other areas within the Gynaecology service. A passion for women's health is essential as well as experience and knowledge of all areas within the Gynaecology speciality including the Pregnancy Advisory Service, The Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and our Same Day Emergency Care service. We strive to be open and honest and to listen to feedback, responding accordingly, in order to continuously improve our service. To co-ordinate and provide skilled Nursing care to Patients, in accordance with responsibilities under the NMC code of conduct To act as an advocate for Patients To support in the Clinical education of staff members in the team, Patients and their families To assist the Ward Manager in managing and developing the service and team Ensure compliance with and maintain standards within the Clinical Governance agenda To give leadership to junior staff and manage the service and team in absence of the Ward Manager To support the Ward Manager in their role and participate in managing the ward, staff and resources.
