Our Autism Diagnostic Service providing multi-disciplinary assessment (MDA) for children in Wakefield is seeking a new team member as we expand our service. This is an opportunity to help us shape and develop the future of the team and work as part of an evolving service. We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a permanent Advanced Speech and Language Therapy Assistant within the Autism Diagnostic Service at Mid Yorkshire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust. You will be part of a team of Speech and language therapists within the MDA pathway. Our ideal candidate has experience of working with a paediatric speech and language department and has experience working with families and children. You will demonstrate a high level of communication and organisational skills. You will provide a key role in supporting the MDA process for autism diagnosis. You will act in a care co-ordinator role and provide informal assessments and feedback as part of the MDA pathway. As part of the co-ordinator role you will signpost and support families during their journey through the autism assessment pathway. You will communicate appropriate support and contribute to advice and implementation of strategies following the MDA assessment. "}
