You will be provided with a supernumerary induction period across the unit. We offer opportunities of development within our Surgical Day Case Unit, Paediatric assessment unit, Paediatric High Dependency Unit and Paediatric Ward. Within Treehouse we have 2 clinical educators that will provide a personalised development program to support you in achieving your career goals. Treehouse consists of 20 acute paediatric beds, 8 paediatric assessment beds, 4 surgical day case beds and 2 PHDU beds, caring for children and young people with a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions. Specialist nursing teams are available to support this care delivery, including a Mental Health Practice Educator who also provides supervision and bespoke training. As a staff nurse on paediatrics, you will be expected to deliver compassionate, safe, high quality, care for children of all ages within our large unit. Our service cover specialist inpatient services such as paediatric critical care level 2, paediatric surgery and a paediatric assessment unit. You should be enthusiastic, motivated with good interpersonal skills and able to problem solve and prioritise during periods of pressure. In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, you will be required to deliver and supervise patient care for the clinical area, ensuring assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of a high standard of care.
