About us Providing medicines management or other technical information to healthcare professionals both within and externally to the trust to ensure continuity of care. Communicating with other health care professionals regarding difficulties in supplying medicines to ensure appropriate patient care is always maintained. Achieving and maintaining accredited and/or extended competencies in area of practice as identified in local pathway documentation. Supervising, planning, and managing day to day work of allocated staff, reviewing and reallocating tasks when necessary to meet workload demands. Deputise for operational manager and provide leadership where necessary e.g., at weekends/on late nights. To be responsible for the management of junior staff including supervision, appraisal and informal management processes. To be involved in the recruitment and induction of new staff including recruitment chair. To create and develop operating procedures and to ensure that staff are following processes accordingly. We have a friendly and developing team of over 300, consisting of registered Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Support Workers who work alongside trainees.
