The post holder will be responsible for generating Trust Safer Staffing reports for the Executive Leadership Team, Quality Committee and Trust Board. The post holder will be responsible for the collection, use and interpretation of information and data related to the delivery of safer staffing across the organisation's inpatient and community services developing systems and processes as required. The post holder will provide strategic professional and visible senior nursing leadership across the trust, ensuring appropriate advice regarding Safer Staffing is provided to ensure consistency of implementation across the Operational Directorates. To lead in driving the compliance with national guidance and quality assurance of an effective safe staffing system - such as NQB & Developing Workforce Safeguards - with the Deputy Director of Nursing and Ongoing development, delivery and monitoring of safe staffing for the Trust board and external agencies. To lead on the training and education of the Mental Health Optimal Staffing Tool (MHOST) to all inpatient ward areas to support annual establishment setting across the trust including the inter-reliability assessment process. Continue to lead on and improve the reporting of the Trust's NMC referrals and regulatory issues, advising the deputy director of nursing and Heads of nursing on appropriate intervention and action. Ensure the organisation is meeting the statutory reporting requirements of local Commissioners, Department of Health, and NHSE/I. Ensure the Information Governance aspects of dealing with patient data and reporting are recognised and where risks are identified processes are put in place to minimise these. Lead on key areas and as required. Examine complex information and data sets to inform the nursing workforce planning. Produce written documentation including status reports and Trust Board reports which require explanations of complex issues ensuring the communication is appropriate to the target audience.
