We have an exciting opportunity for you to be part of a brand-new multidisciplinary team of professionals (inc. Clinical psychologist, Consultant Paediatrician, Nursing and Family Support Worker) providing whole-family support for children and young people (CYP) living with severe and/or complex obesity in Gloucestershire. We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate dietitian to work alongside the dietitian/s in the team who has the drive to develop the service and deliver training to healthcare professionals within the community. The post holder will have excellent leadership skills, extensive experience of multi-agency working and passion for delivering high quality nutrition and lifestyle interventions. You will have the opportunity to work within paediatric neonates or general paediatric inpatient/outpatients 1 day per week providing variety and enabling you to keep other paediatric dietetic skills up to date. There is the potential for this post to be combined with neonatal services to develop further services in conjunction with the support of the South West Network. The post holder is responsible for actively contributing to the delivery of an efficient, effective and compassionate weight management service (WMS) for children and young people (CYP) living with severe and/ or complex obesity. Specifically, this will include working alongside a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide integrated care alongside Gloucestershire's Community Weight Management provider. About us You will be directly responsible to the Paediatric Team Lead and working alongside the paediatric dietitians the CYP team the rest of the dietetic team. You will be working to plan, implement and monitor high quality nutritional care to children with complex needs in the inpatient and outpatient settings, including community clinics . You will be actively involved in the supervision, education and development of Band 5/6 staff and also contribute to the training of A, B & C students each year.
