The post is based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, however, the successful applicant will be required at times to cross site work at the Princess Royal Hospital. The successful candidate will be one of two Operational Managers responsible for the operational delivery of services within Head & Neck and Ophthalmology. You will work closely with the Clinical Leads and Matrons to drive forward strategy and our ambitious programme for service improvement and sustained delivery of key local and national performance standards including 18 week RTT and cancer waiting times. Providing leadership and operational management support to the Centre Manager, you must have current NHS experience with a strong focus on delivery and a desire for success. Working with the Clinical Directors and Centre Manager, the post-holder is responsible for formulating and implementing service delivery plans to achieve the operational and strategic objectives of the Centre. You should have the skills to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and motivate others effectively. Accountable for service delivery, the post-holder will be required to liaise with service users, other agencies and stakeholders along with working closely with other teams to ensure efficient and effective management of all resources to deliver safe, high quality and effective patient care.
