The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an Operational Manager for its Ophthalmology department, available as a 12-month secondment or fixed-term position starting from February 3, 2025. This part-time role (30 hours per week) is primarily based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, with occasional duties at the Princess Royal Hospital. The successful candidate will join the Head and Neck and Ophthalmology Management Team, working alongside Clinical Leads and Matrons to enhance service delivery and meet performance standards, including 18-week referral-to-treatment times and cancer wait times.

Candidates should have current NHS experience, strong leadership and operational management skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. The role involves liaising with various stakeholders, developing service delivery plans, and ensuring efficient resource management to provide quality patient care.
