Expected Shortlisting Date 28/11/2024 Planned Interview Date 05/12/2024 The candidate will have the skills and abilities to: to contribute in updating records of achievements (ie: profiles, observations, care plans), to support the individual needs of the children/families. assist the management team ( ie: Deputy and Early Years Professional) to develop, implement and evaluate play and planning using the EYFS for the individual child and family to support the nursery team and management team in the delivery of the service and the development of quality care as a key carer the jobholder will assist in the settling in programme to meet the childs/familys individual needs including first contact with the parent /carer to assist the nursery team when discussing nursery routines and procedures with new parents As part of the nursery team your role will include observing, collating, presenting and recording developmental milestones for childrens individual profiles ensure each family receives daily positive feedback report concerns or family issues to appropriate manager About us It is essential that the jobholder holds a minimum level 2 childcare qualification recognised by Ofsted but it is desirable that they are working towards a relevant level 3 qualification, NNEB, CACHE, BTEC and NVQ level 3. Health and Safety/Risk Management All staff are responsible for working with their colleagues to maintain and improve the quality of services provided to our patients and other service users. This includes complying at all times with the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Policies, including Health and Safety policies, in particular by following agreed safe working procedures, and reporting incidents using the Trust Incident Reporting system. Infection Control The jobholder must comply at all times with the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Infection Control policies, in particular by practising Universal Infection Control Precautions. Hand hygiene must be performed before and after contact with patients and their environment.
