At the LTHT nurseries you will be joining a dedicated team providing childcare predominantly to Leeds NHS employees.
Across 3 settings we provide care for around 168 pre school children Monday Friday from 7am 6pm all year round (excluding Bank Holidays). Each setting is unique and we celebrate the differences and experiences our employees bring to us.

The candidate will have the skills and abilities to:

As part of the nursery team your role will include observing, collating, presenting and recording developmental milestones for childrens individual profiles

About us
It is essential that the jobholder holds a minimum level 2 childcare qualification recognised by Ofsted but it is desirable that they are working towards a relevant level 3 qualification, NNEB, CACHE, BTEC and NVQ level 3.
Experience

Health and Safety/Risk Management
All staff are responsible for working with their colleagues to maintain and improve the quality of services provided to our patients and other service users. This includes complying at all times with the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Policies, including Health and Safety policies, in particular by following agreed safe working procedures, and reporting incidents using the Trust Incident Reporting system.
Infection Control
The jobholder must comply at all times with the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Infection Control policies, in particular by practising Universal Infection Control Precautions. Hand hygiene must be performed before and after contact with patients and their environment.

Provide opportunities for parent/carers/children/young people to actively participate in the reviewing and strategic development of childcare/carers support service.

The jobholder must take responsibility in agreement with his/her line manager for his/her own personal development by ensuring that Continuous Professional Development remains a priority. The jobholder will undertake all mandatory training required for the role.
