What to expect

2. How did you obtain your DERADI qualification, and can you discuss your journey to becoming an Approved Driving Instructor with the DVSA?
3. Could you provide an example of a challenging training scenario you encountered in the past and how you handled it?
4. What is your philosophy on driver education and training, particularly in the context of emergency response driving?
5. How do you ensure that your training methods are effective and can adapt to different learning styles among trainees?
6. What strategies do you use to keep your trainees motivated and engaged during their training sessions?
7. Can you explain the importance of adhering to the standards set by the DVSA and how you ensure compliance in your training sessions?
8. What updates or changes in driving regulations or ambulance driving standards are you currently aware of, and how would you incorporate this knowledge into your training?
9. This role involves working collaboratively with staff from various locations across the six counties. How do you approach teamwork with colleagues in a multi-disciplinary environment?
10. How do you handle feedback from your trainees or colleagues about your training methods, and could you share a time you received critical feedback?
11. In emergency situations, split-second decisions can be critical. How do you prepare your trainees to respond effectively under pressure?
12. Can you describe a situation where you had to adjust your lesson plan on the spot? What prompted the change and what was the outcome?
13. How do you stay current with developments in ambulance services and driving training methodologies?
14. What are your long-term career goals as a driver trainer, and how does this role fit into those plans?
15. How do you assess whether a trainee is ready to progress to the next level of training or take their driving test?
