The post holder will work within our Integrated Contact Centres (ICC) based across the North West. As a UECC you will be responsible for the remote assessment of patients whilst ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care through the continuous achievement of high clinical standards. Further development will be offered once you have completed your initial training followed by a period of skill consolidation. Once this period of consolidation is complete, the post holder will be required to develop additional skills to meet the needs of the service. These additional skills will include providing clinical advice to both clinical and non-clinical colleagues, supporting staff who are returning to practice or are new and require mentorship as well as other specialist skills such as managing the clinical queue and referring calls onto partner organisations who provide Clinical Assessment Services on behalf of NWAS. It is a requirement of the role that these additional skills are completed in a timely manner to ensure that patients get access to the right care, at the right time, in the right place; every time. What we are looking for: Post registration clinical experience in a face to face, primary or acute care setting, emergency department or pre-hospital role. Triage experience Excellent leadership and mentoring skills to support staff. Resilient, highly motivated and passionate about delivering outstanding patient care. The classroom element of the training is Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00 for 2 weeks, with mentorship taking place working shifts with experienced staff taking live calls.
