Practice Interview

What to expect
First, we'll enable your camera & microphone and then ask you to record a short introduction about yourself, about 30 seconds long, to make sure your camera is working ok.

5. With at least 60% of the role involving direct clinical care, how do you balance leadership responsibilities with direct patient interaction?
6. What impact do you believe the latest advancements in palliative care have on your clinical practice? Can you provide an example?
7. How do you ensure that patients and their families receive a seamless package of care, especially when liaising with external agencies?
8. What role do you think ongoing education plays in delivering high-quality palliative care, and how would you promote a learning environment for your team?
9. Can you share an example of a successful educational program you developed or delivered? What was the outcome?
10. How do you keep abreast of current developments in specialist palliative care, and how do you translate this knowledge into practice for your team?
11. Describe a time when you had to communicate complex information to a patient or their family. How did you ensure clarity and understanding?
12. How do you build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and their families?
13. In your opinion, what are the essential communication skills required for a nurse leader in the hospice setting?
14. How do you ensure that your own professional registration and skills are up to date in line with current practice?
15. What steps would you take to engage your team in achieving the strategic aims of the hospice?
16. How would you contribute to the Hospice Governance arrangements and ensure that clinical guidelines are adhered to?
17. How do you approach the integration of clinical volunteers into the team, and what role do they play in patient care?
18. Can you discuss your experience with multi-professional caseload management? How do you ensure all team members are adequately informed about patients?
19. What do you find most rewarding and challenging about working in palliative care, and how do you cope with these challenges?
20. What attracted you to the position at Princess Alice Hospice, and how do you align with our values of making a difference in the lives of patients and their families?
