What to expect
First, we'll enable your camera & microphone and then ask you to record a short introduction about yourself, about 30 seconds long, to make sure your camera is working ok.

Then, we'll ask you to answer one or more questions of your choice from the list below:
1. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your interest in the healthcare field, particularly in surgical care?
2. What motivated you to apply for this position in a Cardiothoracic Surgical Ward?
3. What previous experience do you have in a healthcare setting, and how do you think it will help you in this role?
4. Describe a situation where you had to assist a patient with their care needs. What steps did you take, and what was the outcome?
5. Can you provide an example of how you have worked collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team in the past?
6. How do you ensure that you provide compassionate and respectful care to all patients?
7. What strategies do you use to communicate effectively with patients and their families, especially in challenging situations?
8. If a patient expresses concern or discomfort, how would you handle that situation?
9. How do you ensure that you maintain patient confidentiality and uphold their privacy and dignity at all times?
10. Describe your understanding of Health and Safety regulations. How would you apply these in your day-to-day responsibilities?
11. Can you give an example of a time when you identified a potential risk or hazard in a healthcare environment? How did you address it?
12. What do you understand about the importance of accurate documentation and reporting in patient care?
13. How would you ensure that you comply with proper moving and handling techniques when assisting patients?
14. Discuss your experience with monitoring patients’ nutritional needs and how you would manage this aspect of care.
15. The role requires working various shifts, including nights and weekends. How do you feel about this, and how do you manage your work-life balance?
16. What steps do you take to keep your skills and knowledge updated in the healthcare field?
17. How do you align your personal values with the core values of The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust?
18. Can you give an example of how you have demonstrated professionalism in a prior role?
19. What do you believe are the most critical qualities for a Healthcare Assistant in a surgical setting?
