The Associate Director of Pharmacy will be responsible under the leadership and direction of the Chief Pharmacist to lead, manage and develop the provision and delivery of the Pharmaceutical Care Service on behalf of the Health & Social Care Committee (HSC) of the States of Guernsey. They will support the Chief Pharmacist in the delivery of the States Service Area Plan and Medicines Optimisation KPIs. As a member of the Senior Pharmacy Leadership Team they will be instrumental in developing a strategic vision and delivery plan for the Pharmacy Department. Taking a lead role in supporting the team to implement this. They will line manage senior pharmacists and deputise for the Chief Pharmacist, act as the Medicines Safety Officer (MSO) and act as the leading specialist in clinical pharmacy, providing expert advice in a range of clinical specialities, ensuring the safe provision of medicines, vaccines and pharmaceutical supplies including Radiopharmacy and Aseptically manufactured products. They will ensure delivery of pharmacy and medicines optimisation Clinical Services to all areas of Health & Social Care and will participate in weekend and on-call pharmacy service provision.
