Minimising patient harm, and mitigating reputational, financial, or litigation risk to the Trust by demonstrating safe data handling processes. Receiving and processing requests for information ensuring;- the recording of applications- ensure those making applications are supported and signposted to how to raised concerns should they wish- eligibility criteria are met, escalating to line management as required- statutory timeframes are met- information is reviewed, approved and signed off by the accountable individual- seek support from the legal team as required and requested by line management- regularly report to the Information Governance Lead on the progress of Freedom of Information Requests, Subject Access Requests and other requests for information, and to immediately escalate any issues or concerns- provide information to support the Information Governance Lead preparing reports on claims to relevant Committees, Trust Board, etc. as required. Undertake other duties appropriate to the grade of the post as directed by line managers and provide appropriate cover in their absence.
