Band 3: £24,071 to £25,674 a year per annum/pro rata  PERMANENT 

Ensuring the effective delivery of systems and processes for the management of requests for information made under under UK GDPR/Data Protection Act 2, Access to Health Records Act 1990, Freedom of Information Act 2000.Acknowledging and logging requests for information, including from individuals, 3rd Parties, the Police and the Courts, and collating and releasing the information to the requestor.

Minimising patient harm, and mitigating reputational, financial, or litigation risk to the Trust by demonstrating safe data handling processes.

Receiving and processing requests for information ensuring;- the recording of applications- ensure those making applications are supported and signposted to how to raised concerns should they wish- eligibility criteria are met, escalating to line management as required- statutory timeframes are met- information is reviewed, approved and signed off by the accountable individual- seek support from the legal team as required and requested by line management- regularly report to the Information Governance Lead on the progress of Freedom of Information Requests, Subject Access Requests and other requests for information, and to immediately escalate any issues or concerns- provide information to support the Information Governance Lead preparing reports on claims to relevant Committees, Trust Board, etc. as required.

Undertake other duties appropriate to the grade of the post as directed by line managers and provide appropriate cover in their absence.

Assisting the Freedom of Information Officer with FOI requests on:- the recording of applications- ensuring those making applications are supported and signposted to how to raise concerns should they wish- meeting statutory timeframes- reviewing information, and obtaining approval and sign off by the accountable individual- ensuring cases requiring further review, input or rejection are escalated to line management
