This will be a morning or afternoon to be confirmed. We are looking to recruit a Band 2 Care Support Assistant or Band 3 Healthcare assistant to join our nursing team on Heligan or Harold White Ward at St Austell Community Hospital. The role requires the post holder to be committed to the ongoing development of the ward and multi disciplinary team working, aiming to deliver the highest standards of patient care. The position holder will require a cheerful 'can do' attitude. In return we will support you in your career path. The working hours consist of a mixture of Long days 07:30 - 20:00 and Night Shifts 19:30 - 08:00 in order to support 24 hour nursing care, 7 days per week. General social interaction with patients, talking, observing and escalating concerns o Supporting patients with meals including preparation and service o Assisting patients with personal care o Support wider team with domestic and housekeeping duties o Meeting and greeting o Putting away stock o Carrying out and supporting with other duties our trained and experienced staff need completing o To report any concerns or issues to the manager in charge o To make or receive telephones calls About us To view a detailed job description and person specification including the main responsibilities of this role please see supporting documents.
