The capacity manager will present the Divisions capacity position at the bed meetings throughout the day and will actively work with the discharge team and the ward teams to help to expedite safe and timely patients discharge. The primary role of Medicines Capacity Manager is to work with the Divisional team to ensure that we have capacity to meet the Divisions admission demand. To do this the post holder will ensure that we have effective patient flow from admission to discharge within the Division. The postholder will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that patients are admitted into the right bed first time, every time. The post holder must have an overview of the bed position throughout the day ensuring that they work closely with the Emergency Department (ED) to assist the Trust to maintain the 4 hour quality standards.
