This post is mostly based at Lindon House, Lincoln, but there will be an expectation to support other clinics when service demands require. Travel time and expenses are supported. The role is varied and requires candidates to be non-judgemental and adhere to strict confidentiality policy. Experience within healthcare including venepuncture skills is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided to the successful candidate. HCSW: Sets up clinical rooms, chaperones specialist practitioners within clinical examinations and handles and processes samples. Provides support on an ad hoc basis for reception and central booking line. Undertakes stock control, ordering of sundries and stock taking duties. Ensures all infection control policies are met with by ensuring cleaning duties and clinical waste duties are appropriately met. Will be taught microscopy skills to support in house diagnostic services. Booking line and reception About us The HCSW will used evidence-based practice to help support and deliver a confidential, quality and cost-effective service in support of and under the direction of a registered professional.They will carry out assigned tasks, appropriate to their role, experience and competence, including direct nursing care and administrative duties as delegated by the nurse in charge and as part of a wider LiSH team.The HCSW will ensure that patients receive safe, individualised and effective care, accepting delegated responsibility appropriate to the role, experience and competency of the post holder.
