This is a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within our maternity and neonatal services. As Head of Women's Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement, you will provide strategic leadership to drive excellence in governance, learning, and service development across our perinatal pathways. Working closely with ourDirector of Midwifery, Chief Nurse, senior clinical teams, and external partners, you will lead on embedding a culture of continuous quality improvement, ensuring compliance with national safety standards, and implementing learning from external reviews such as MBRRACE and Ockenden. This role involves leading & overseeing the perinatal governance framework, ensuring robust risk management, incident investigation, & learning processes. You will drive continuous improvement in maternity & neonatal services, ensuring high standards of safety, effectiveness, & patient experience. You will work collaboratively across our integrated care system, regional networks, & national bodies to share learning & best practice. As an expert in governance, you will provide leadership on regulatory compliance, audit, & quality assurance to ensure services meet & exceed national standards. A key part of your role will be engaging with families, service users,& staff to foster a culture of openness, learning, & compassionate care. You will also support & mentor governance teams to develop their capability in quality improvement & assurance. We are looking for a highly experienced midwifery or nursing professional with a strong background in clinical governance, patient safety,& quality improvement. The ideal candidate will be a strategic & collaborative leader with experience in perinatal services & a track record of delivering system-wide improvements. You will be a strong communicator who can influence & engage stakeholders at all levels, including frontline teams, senior leaders, & external regulators.
