The University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group (UHN) is looking for a dynamic leader for the position of Head of Women's Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This key role involves providing strategic leadership to enhance safety, quality, and continuous improvement in maternity and neonatal services. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Midwifery, Chief Nurse, and various clinical teams to establish a culture of quality improvement, adhere to national safety standards, and implement learnings from external reviews. Other responsibilities include overseeing the perinatal governance framework, managing risk, conducting incident investigations, and collaborating with integrated care systems and national bodies to share best practices.

Candidates should possess significant experience in midwifery or nursing, with expertise in clinical governance, patient safety, and quality improvement, particularly within perinatal services. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels while fostering a culture of openness and compassionate care.
