The role will cover all aspects of secretarial, administrative and organisational support. Provide a full administrative and secretarial service to Consultant(s)/other medical staff. Responsible for producing high quality, accurate text using equipment provided in accordance with defined timescales. Compose routine self-generated correspondence, when appropriate. Act as first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries, screening calls and liaising appropriately; Access various information systems for administrative details and update administrative notes when/if necessary. Prepare agendas, take minutes and distribute notes of meetings, to include typing up of group discussions and interviews as necessary and recording and follow-up actions as required. Maintain diary of medical staff as required, booking appointments and meetings on own initiative when/if necessary Processing prescription requests/changes and liaising with GPS, Consultants and parents regarding this Involvement in the recruitment /interview process of secretarial/clerical staff as required.
