As a Band 2 Ward Clerk you will be a vital member of the ward team, ensuring patient information is maintain, stored and shared correctly. You will also be the first point of contact for patients and visitors and so a high level of customer service and professionalism is required. The post holder is responsible for: Excellent record keeping in line with GDPR, Caldicott Principles and Trust policy. Excellent customer service skills ensuring that patients and visitors have a positive experience of the ward and that any enquiries are handled with care and attention to detail. Supporting the ward with administrative tasks, including preparing patient information, managing data using the patients electornic patient record and ordering supplies. Answering the telephone and emails in a professional and courteous manner. Greeting patients, visitors and staff on their arrival to the ward and ensuring front door security is maintained, raising any concerns to the nurse in charge and the ward manager. Any other administrative tasks within scope as delegated by the ward manager.
