This is an opportunity for a band 5 staff nurse to work in a brand-new modern hospital, The Louisa Martindale Building. We are excited to have moved into level 8 with our 27 bedded Dementia Unit. You will receive a robust and supernumerary induction orientation programme to the area. We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses. Is responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation of care and assists in the interpretation of data relevant to the patient's condition and progress Assists in the identification of patient problems and needs with the patient, their carers, senior nursing staff and other staff as appropriate Identifies the priorities of care for patients Identifies realistic goals for patients in care plans Gives skilled care to patients and provides support to their carers Administers drugs and treatments as prescribed according to the NMC guidelines and the Trust's Guidelines for the Safe and Secure Handling of Medicines Changes care plans and goals according to evaluation and discussion with the multidisciplinary team Demonstrates an understanding and skill in the care and management of the critically ill patient Works closely with all members of the care team to ensure the needs of the critically ill patient are met Demonstrates proficiency in the care of CVP lines and the administration of IV Therapy in accordance with Trust Policy.
