Failsafe the antenatal screening programmes within the antenatal department, working closely with the maternity ultrasound department to ensure women receive a conclusive result for their antenatal screening tests Use the national newborn failsafe systems to ensure that all babies under the care of UHL receive blood spot screening and the Newborn Infant Physical Examination (NIPE) in a timely manner Communicate appropriate information to women and their families Understand the antenatal and newborn screening programmes and the importance of submitting samples that are suitable for testing to the lab Ensure that the daily tracking of Trisomy screening samples is correct and action any investigation into any omissions Ability to organise, prioritise and adjust own workload in relation to client care working alongside the multi-disciplinary team Ability to use spreadsheets and databases in order to support the wider ANNB screening team in the monitoring and effectiveness of the screening programmes.
