The department currently sees around 32,000 patients a year with minor injury/illness. We pride ourselves on our friendly, hardworking team and our forward thinking approach to the care of our patients. Working closely with our community nursing and Acute Trust colleagues we aim to provide accessible and credible services. We will consider applications for both full and part time hours. The job holder will be actively involved in providing patient care under the supervision of a registered professional. Applicants need to be highly focused, enthusiastic and motivated; able to demonstrate appropriate skills for the role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to use your own initiative is essential as is the ability to plan and organise your time and to work under pressure. A flexible approach to working as the post requires shift work including days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The unit is open 7 days a week, 365 days of the year from 8am to 11pm, with patients being able to book in until 10pm.
