What to expect

6. How would you approach collaborating with registered health care professionals and other staff members in a ward environment?
7. Describe a situation where you had to communicate with someone who was upset or distressed. How did you handle it?
8. What strategies would you use to ensure effective communication with patients who may have difficulty understanding or expressing themselves?
9. Healthcare environments can be unpredictable. Can you describe how you would handle a situation where a patient’s condition changed unexpectedly?
10. How would you prioritise your tasks when faced with multiple demands in a busy healthcare setting?
11. What steps would you take to ensure you are meeting the competencies required in this role?
12. How do you envision managing your ongoing professional development as a Healthcare Support Worker?
13. In your opinion, what does providing excellent patient experience look like, and how would you strive to achieve this in your day-to-day tasks?
14. How would you support a patient during end-of-life care, ensuring that both the patient and their relatives feel comforted and respected?

19. This role requires flexibility in working patterns and shift allowances. Are you comfortable with varied working hours, including evenings and weekends?
