The KSS Primary Care Department is an integral part of the WT&E directorate across KSS covering a region that is densely populated part of the South East benefiting from close proximity to London, good rail links and several areas of outstanding natural beauty including a long and ever-changing coastline. The Primary Care Department exists to support and lead the recruitment and retention of the entire multi-professional primary care workforce, including doctors, nurses and the increasing range of allied health professionals who have expanded the primary care workforce in recent times. Our vision is to ensure that not only is there sufficient supply of health professionals now and in the future, but also to make primary care the premier choice for NHS careers in KSS. The post-holder will be responsible for coordinating and delivering programmes of work as a member of the Primary Care Department working with health and care stakeholders across defined localities, as well as with relevant regional and national colleagues if required. They will ensure that a portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively, as the post is part of a wider Primary Care Department working across the South East. There will be an expectation for occasional travel to meet with the wider team or attend regional events with the office base being at York House, Horley. This role will have a focus on supporting ICB and Locality Training Hubs, GP Practices, General Practice Educators and the wider Primary Care with workforce development and transformation initiatives, as defined by local, regional and national priorities.
