The Older Adult Day Service is a busy and forward-thinking team. Support and supervision will be provided for the successful candidate. The post is for 37.5 hours per week, 6 months fixed term or secondment opportunity. Ideally, the successful candidate will work Monday-Friday, 08:30-16:30 and cover both Day Services in Derby and Ilkeston. It is Trust policy that for posts that are for a time limited period, applicants who are currently employed by an NHS organisation will only be appointed on a secondment basis and should have approval from their line manager this is possible before applying. Applicants who are not employed by an NHS organisation, will receive a fixed term contract. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a polite telephone manner, knowledge and experience of using IT programs, such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word, SystmOne. A significant part of the role will involve using Electronic Patient Records, complete typing and up-dating patient information. There will also be a requirement to be front-of-house to cover Reception, where the successful applicant will be in direct contact with patients, professionals and visitors to the building and support other teams as and when needed.
