We are looking to appoint an Endoscopy Unit clerk to support the day to day running of the Endoscopy unit. You should have proven patient care skills or worked in a patient/customer care focused environment. You will need to be able to work in a calm, logical and methodical way but be able to multi-task whilst dealing with frequent interruptions, and you must possess effective communication skills able to work well under pressure and be a key team player. This career has lots of job satisfaction on a daily basis, as you'll be helping patients and their families with their requirements and providing administration support in their on-going healthcare. About us 1. To co-ordinate the day to day management and maintenance of theinpatient/day case waiting lists in accordance with the Patient Access Policy andEndoscopy Booking Policy.2. To book day cases and procedures undertaken in endoscopy, within givenguidelines ensuring the national and local targets are met.3. To replace cancellations, as and when necessary, with like for like cases or withinguidelines provided, whilst taking into account the national targets for waitingtimes.4. To instruct patients with regard to the stopping of specific medication and informpatients of starving requirements depending on scheduling of procedure.5. Dealing with all patients enquires regarding cancellations, rescheduling andholiday bookings.6.
