The BCU Health Improvement Team are looking for a part time (30 hours / week) Band 5 Health Improvement Practitioner to focus on the Nutrition and Weight Management remit. The service aims to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities in Caia Park, Central Wrexham and Flint.A knowledge of these areas, and experience or qualifications in Health Improvement, Health Promotion, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Public Health, or Sports and Exercise Sciences would help the successful candidate in the role. The ideal candidate would ideally have a strong interest in health improvement and our Public Health Wales wider strategy for improving health and wellbeing in Wales. Working as part of the BCU Health Improvement Team, your role will be to provide support to the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of a range of health improvement programmes and initiatives focussing on Nutrition, Weight Management as well as Physical Activity, Substance Misuse, Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing, across all sectors and in line with agreed local and national priorities. We are seeking a motivated and self-directed individual who will work as part of a dynamic team, and we will offer regular supervision, training and personal development plans to help you achieve your full potential.
