If successful, you will be working as part of a community nursing team based at 1 of 3 sites - Bitterne Health Centre, Royal South Hants Hospital or Broadcast House (near the Western Community Hospital). Community nursing provides care & treatment for adults with complex health & care needs. You will be lone working but part of a supportive team. Candidates will ideally possess an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, full training will be provided to enable you to fulfil your role. i.e. training sessions, online & working 1:1 with clinical staff. HIOW Healthcare is committed to your career development & there are numerous opportunities & pathways for this. The role includes: Wound care - chronic & acute Prevention, identification & management of pressure ulcers Administration of medications, including some injectable Continence care Supporting end of life care Working with health & social care teams Community Nursing covers from 0830-2200, 7 days a week. Shift patterns 0830-1630 & 1400-2200. To include weekends & bank holidays, with an expectation of working 1 in 4 weekends. As a health care support worker, you will be part of a team who supports thedelivery of nursing care to clients within their own home environment. Ensure that patients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions as delegated by the registered nurse. Under delegation of the nurse in charge, work competently and without direct supervision within an agreed framework.
