We are looking for a highly motivated autonomous Dietitian to join the team. The role would be part time 26.25 hrs providing clinical dietitian role for the Community IDD Dietetics Team. The service currently operates around the hours of 9-5pm Mon-Friday. Working from locations including patient homes, clinics and inpatient settings. The service is currently commissioned to cover Nottingham City and South of the County however there is an aspiration to cover the whole of Nottinghamshire in the future which will increase the geographical remit of this role. Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. About us Job responsibilities The role requires a high level of clinical and professional expertise in order that clients and their carers benefit from a well-coordinated pro-active, specialist, efficient and effective Dietetic treatment. The service includes individually tailored therapy and management, training, advice and a consultative approach. Input is predominantly on a one on one basis but consultation and training may be provided to train staff as required Personal Specification Qualifications - Academic/Craft/Professional Essential Degree or equivalent post grad Qualification leading to registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Dietitian HCPC registration as a Dietitian. Appropriate range of post registration specialist professional knowledge and experience acquired through recognised academic study and practical clinical education Desirable Membership of British Dietetic Association (BDA) Relevant clinical update course e.g. Paediatric update, Community Dietetics, Diabetes, PENG Clinical update course, Learning Disability specific course. Teaching qualification or Clinical Educators course Training Essential Engagement in training as required appropriate to the post. Desirable Relevant additional training. Experience Essential Post registration clinical experience obtained within a wide range of acute /community /social care settings. Experience of teaching groups. Evidence of Knowledge - Skills-Aptitudes Essential Empathetic and psychologically minded Excellent written and oral communication skills for a variety of audiences, and in situations Well organised and able to prioritise a high turnover caseload Excellent clinical reasoning skills Leadership skills Experience of supporting other staff and students Motivated and a motivator Team builder and team member Autonomous and able to work without direct supervision Reflective practitioner Ability to manage own wellbeing with access to supervision to sustain this.
