An exciting opportunity has arisen with our Mental Health Specialist Services to join our Intellectual Developmental Disabilities Directorate (IDD) at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a highly motivated autonomous Dietitian to join the team. The role would be part time 26.25 hrs providing clinical dietitian role for the Community IDD Dietetics Team.
The service currently operates around the hours of 9-5pm Mon-Friday. Working from locations including patient homes, clinics and inpatient settings. The service is currently commissioned to cover Nottingham City and South of the County however there is an aspiration to cover the whole of Nottinghamshire in the future which will increase the geographical remit of this role.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

You will be providing specialist evidence based dietary advice and treatment for individual clients and their carers and supporting the development of the service within the directorate with the support of the multi-disciplinary team.
Job responsibilities
The role requires a high level of clinical and professional expertise in order that clients and their carers benefit from a well-coordinated pro-active, specialist, efficient and effective Dietetic treatment. The service includes individually tailored therapy and management, training, advice and a consultative approach. Input is predominantly on a one on one basis but consultation and training may be provided to train staff as required
Personal Specification
Qualifications - Academic/Craft/Professional
Essential
Degree or equivalent post grad Qualification leading to registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Dietitian
HCPC registration as a Dietitian.
Appropriate range of post registration specialist professional knowledge and experience acquired through recognised academic study and practical clinical education
Desirable
Membership of British Dietetic Association (BDA)
Relevant clinical update course e.g.
Paediatric update, Community Dietetics, Diabetes, PENG Clinical update course, Learning Disability specific course.
Teaching qualification or Clinical Educators course
