The Directorate has 76 inpatient beds at the Hammersmith Hospital, including a 9-bed HDU allowing admissions for acute transplantation. There is also an 18-bed day-case facility open 5 days a week. The unit performs on average 160 kidney transplants per year and 12 simultaneous kidney/pancreas per year. This is a 10PA maternity locum Consultant Nephrologist post, for a 6 month period in the first instance. Providing Consultant Renal care at Hammersmith Hospital in combination with Ealing Hospital. Duties include nephrology clinic, ward in-reach, advanced kidney care clinic, dialysis and transplant clinics. Oncall rota is based at Hammersmith hospital at a frequency of 1in10 weeks. About us The purpose of this job is to join the Renal Directorate to support the large inpatient and outpatient Renal service at Hillingdon Hospital with one post taking on the role of service lead at this site, along with the delivery of inpatient and outpatient care at the NWL Renal Regional hub at Hammersmith Hospital. This post will provide the inpatient and outpatient at Ealing Hospital with a focus on general nephrology, dialysis and inpatient liaison including ITU and acute medicine. This post will also provide transplant and virtual clinic; along with procedures at Hammersmith Hospital. The week will be split between Hammersmith and Ealing Hospitals.
